Green smoothie’s are back!  As always these smoothies are easy to make and healthy, especially this Easy Green Smoothie Recipe. I try to drink one every morning for the health & energy boost. They are great for a health boost on-the-go!  Once you get by the color, the taste is great :)

This Easy Green Smoothie Recipe has:

  • endive
  • coconut water
  • banana
  • strawberries
  • apple

In terms of healthy goodness, the banana is a great source of Potassium.

Bananas are also good for bowel regularity and satiety. You can’t complain about that ;-)

Endive is rich in many vitamins and minerals, especially in folate and vitamins A and K, and is high in fiber.

Coconut water is worldly touted as a “superfood”. In recent years, coconut water has been marketed as a natural energy or sports drink due to its high potassium and mineral content. Marketers have also promoted coconut water for having low levels of fat,carbohydrates, and calories.

One cup (236 g) of strawberries contains approximately 45 kilo-calories (188 kJ) and is an excellent source of vitamin C and flavonoids.

Preliminary research suggests that apples may reduce the risk of colon cancer,prostate cancer and lung cancer.
